Scrappy Media (“Scrappy Media,” “we,” “us”) provides done-for-you social media management and self-serve social media and contest software at scrappymedia.com and app.scrappymedia.com (the “Services”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your name, business name, email address, password (stored only in hashed form), website, the social platforms you use, and the plan you choose.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We receive limited billing details from Stripe, such as your subscription status, plan and renewal date.

Content you provide. Brand assets, captions, posts, contest details and other material you or we create for your account.

Contest entrant information. When someone enters a contest run on our Services, we collect the entrant's name and email address, a referral code, and which referral link (if any) they used. We process this information on behalf of the business running the contest.

Technical information. Basic log data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, which our hosting provider records for security and reliability. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

How we use information

• To create and manage your account and provide the Services you signed up for.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To create, schedule and publish social media content, and run contests, on your behalf.
• To send account emails such as sign-up confirmations, password resets, receipts and service notices.
• To enforce plan limits, prevent fraud and duplicate contest entries, and keep the Services secure.
• To respond to your questions and support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell contest entrant information.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Services, including:

• Supabase: database and account authentication
• Stripe: payment processing and billing
• Resend: delivery of account emails
• Vercel: website hosting
• Our social media scheduling and publishing provider: powers Scrappy Social at app.scrappymedia.com
• Social networks (such as Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest): content we publish for you, under those platforms' own terms and privacy policies

Contest entrant information is shared with the business that ran the contest. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and database access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

• Update your account details from your client portal, or by contacting us.
• Request a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or delete it.
• Cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal.
• Contest entrants can ask us to remove their entry by emailing us with the contest name and the email address they entered with.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We will honor those requests as required.

Children

The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date, and notify account holders of material changes by email.
